Sample Header Designs…Input Please!

Thank you, again, for all of your suggestions. We’ve tried to take most of the best of them into consideration. The following are the samples we’ve come up with. The kerning still needs to be tweaked, but these should give you a pretty good idea of where we’re at right now.
The main questions regarding this batch of designs are the following:
1) Which of the two fonts looks the best?
2) Does it look better with or without a circle around the Theotokos?
3) Which colors look the best?
Once again, feel free to comment here, or to send us an email…and thank you, once again, for your input! (Click on each header to make it larger.)

  1. I don’t like the circle. It sticks out too much, and makes the Theotokos look removed from the text.

Otherwise, I like the first one (white background), or the third (red background), though I think the text should be black rather than gray.

  2. Hello!
In my opinion, you should use either the burgundy or white background (please, no yellow), and you should definitely use the circle around the Theotokos as the header looks a bit “disconnected” without it. Also, the font used for headers 7, 8, and 9 looks much more professional and clean-cut than the larger font of headers 3, 2, 5, and 6. Overall, my favorite is header number 7. It’s simple and memorable. I hope this helps.

  3. I like the 2nd example for color, although the intensity is rather overpowering. I like the last one for its size relative to the blog roll. Simple is better. Try to avoid the billboard effect of some of the larger sizes.
